GEI was founded in 1970 as a geotechnical engineering firm, quickly developing an international reputation in the field. Our roots go as far back as 1959 through GEI’s 2003 acquisition of the renowned Bookman-Edmontson (“B-E”) water resources consulting firm. “GEI B-E” has played important roles in many of the western United States’ most important water resources projects over the past half century. In addition, the company has made other synergistic acquisitions over the years in the fields of environmental engineering and ecological science.
