Foundations

Our foundations design experience has included a wide range of high- and low-rise buildings and other structures in urban environments. Many GEI projects take place in congested urban areas with difficult subsurface conditions, requiring specialized construction techniques and deep foundations. Our experience in this area includes analysis and design services for applications involving drilled micro-piles and shafts, driven piles, slurry and secant pile walls, and load bearing elements.

GEI has designed foundation elements for machinery, structures subjected to dynamic wind loads, and seismic loads. We have worked with owners and foundation contractors to provide specialized construction designs to prevent damage to nearby utilities and buildings.
