Project Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under supervision of the senior staff candidates will perform civil engineering tasks including field investigations, water resources evaluations, engineering analysis, and design. Projects will include design of dams, levees, canals, pipelines, flow control facilities, spreading basins, and pumping stations.

Candidates will also support senior staff on other water resource and flood control projects. Conduct research in support of water resources planning activities, prepare technical memos, and reports, as well as draft design drawings using computer aided design and drafting equipment.

REQUIREMENTS

B.S. in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental engineering, M.S. is a plus.

At least 5+ years of experience, as well as experience with surveying and mapping principles, facility layout, water conveyance system design (pipelines, canals, pumping stations, etc.), construction document production, and construction engineering support such as submittal and shop drawing reviews.

Candidates should have strong fundamental knowledge of principles of civil design engineering.

Excellent computer skills with technical analysis software, CAD, MS Office, MS Project, PowerPoint, and other computer applications.

Good report writing and communication skills are required.

E.I.T. or Professional Certifications is a plus.
