Water Resources Client Manager / Principal Engineer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will include client management, senior project management, business development and business unit management and administration for growing water resources planning and consulting group.

REQUIREMENTS

Twenty to twenty five years experience in Water Resources with progressively responsible positions in government or consulting. Name recognition and networking abilities the among the water community in California and the western U.S. The successful candidate should have demonstrated management abilities with vision and energy for change management and future growth.

The candidate should also possess experience in water resources planning and management, including agricultural and urban water management plans, groundwater management plans, water transfer programs, and development of alternative water supplies, groundwater, surface water, river basin management, flood control, energy, environmental compliance, legal, institutional, and policy issues.

The candidate should also be knowledgeable of California water institutions and systems, including the California Department of Water Resources, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, CALFED, Corps of Engineers, State Water Project, Central Valley Project and California water rights.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EDUCATION

B.S. in Civil, Agricultural or Environmental Engineering or related field.
M.S. in Civil Engineering, Water Resources or a related field a plus.
