RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under supervision of the senior staff, candidates will work on a variety of civil and water resources engineering projects in the region.

The primary function will be performing and providing oversight for subsurface explorations, including test borings, test pits, instrument installation, and the sampling of soil and groundwater for chemical analysis.

In addition, candidates will be responsible for geologic mapping and geologic data research; observation of construction activities including foundation excavation, backfill placement, pile driving, pile load tests, and caisson construction.

Responsibilities may also include laboratory index property tests on soil and rock, performing geologic interpretations and evaluations, and preparation of boring logs, test pit logs, seismic analysis, and conducting field observations.

In addition, candidates may to perform data management and analysis, prepare reports and assist in preparation of and delivery of technical presentations with clients and or regulators.

REQUIREMENTS:

B.S. in Geology, M.S. a plus, 0-3 years of related experience.

Good report writing and excellent communication skills are required.

Excellent computer skills with technical analysis software, CAD, MS Office, MS Project, Powerpoint, and other computer applications.
