Wind

Wind energy systems take advantage of the natural kinetic energy carried by wind currents to generate mechanical power in wind-driven turbines. These wind turbines are normally supported on tall towers, and are situated in locations where prevailing winds are both consistent and of a suitable strength to make development of the resource economically viable. GEI plays a key role in advancing the use of wind power by designing foundations and additional structures for wind turbines.
