Once clients have decided to build, GEI provides foundation designs and geotechnical recommendations, and has particular expertise in designing foundations for difficult sites, such as congested urban locations with poorly mapped underground utilities, close adjacent buildings, narrow streets and former landfills. Our geotechnical specialties include slurry wall technology, excavation support system design, and vibration monitoring control. We provide complete construction support, from pre-bid consultation and cost estimating through design, construction, and monitoring. We prepare conceptual designs for pricing and, where appropriate, recommend alternative designs or construction methods that can further save you time and money.
