Inventories and Surveys of Aquatic Ecosystems

The basis for the assessment of ecological health of aquatic systems are field surveys and inventories of aquatic biological communities (fish, invertebrates, algae) and their associated habitats. This can be comprised of either quantitative or qualitative sampling programs, and often follow published state and federal methods, protocols, and guidance.
