Biomonitoring

Assessing the ecological health of streams and lakes, rivers and reservoirs, is often accomplished by monitoring the fish, invertebrates and algae (the biology) of the water bodies. This is known as biological monitoring or biomonitoring.

GEI has completed hundreds of biomonitoring assessments over the past 28 years. Our innovative approaches and knowledge of new and pending regulatory practices move beyond “pass/fail” test results to offer consulting based on expert scientific knowledge to meet strict regulatory requirements.
