GEI acquired Chadwick Ecological Consultants Inc. in 2006 to extend its national presence in ecological testing, science, and consulting. Chadwick Ecological was founded in 1979. Together, the combined entities have completed over 3,000 projects throughout the US and internationally. Ecology refers to the study of the interactions of organisms with their environment. In the context of the regulatory arena, GEI performs ecological studies to measure the potential impacts of human activities, such as mining, wastewater discharges, non-point source effects, and spills. GEI offers expert advice, consulting, testing, and other services to help clients better understand the ecological issues relevant to their situation. GEI’s scientists work closely with clients to develop innovative solutions to challenging issues and regulatory requirements.
