NPDES Review

Discharges from point sources (such as municipal wastewater treatment plants or mining sites) are regulated under the national pollutant discharge elimination system (NPDES) program. Development of NPDES discharge permits generally include analysis of treatment plant design, capacity determinations, reasonable potential analysis for development of permit limits for specific chemicals, and a mixing zone study for analysis of potential instream effects and dilution or assimilative capacity.
