Multivariate Statistical Trend Analysis

Patterns in the numbers and kinds of aquatic organisms, such as fish and invertebrates, can often be tied to variations in habitat conditions, flow, water quality, and other factors. These patterns can often be described in a quantitative, predictive manner using multivariate statistical techniques, such as principal component analysis, canonical correspondence, step-wise regressions, and other approaches. These analyses can help determine important physical/chemical factors affecting biological communities and potentially drive mitigation, remediation, or habitat enhancement programs.

GEI has expertise with multivariate statistical trend analyses, offering clients innovative approaches to studying biological communities and supporting habitat enhancement programs.
