GEI Consultants Hires Richard SanchezMay 2, 2013—GEI Consultants, Inc., one of the nation’s leading geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and ecological science and engineering firms, is pleased to announce that Richard Sanchez, PE, has joined the firm as a senior consultant. Sanchez has more than 34 years of engineering and project management experience. Prior to joining GEI, he was chief of the Division of Engineering for California’s Department of Water Resources (DWR) where he was responsible for overall design, construction, and management of numerous projects associated with California’s State Water Project and Flood Control System.
Sanchez will manage the geotechnical, construction management, and special project civil work performed from GEI’s Sacramento area office.
“Richard is a thoughtful and respected leader in the water resources community,” said Steve Verigin, PE, GE, a senior vice president and GEI’s west region manager. “He is always committed to delivering technical excellence and outstanding service. We’re thrilled to have Richard join our team.”
Sanchez is a licensed professional civil engineer in the state of California and holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from California State University, Sacramento.
