Recognized as expert in the evaluation and remediation of hazardous waste contamination, GEI is frequently retained by Potentially Responsible Parties (PRP) Committees, and litigation attorneys to technically review, validate, and respond to environmental investigation data and reports prepared by others. GEI has provided consultation and expert testimony in support of litigation for government agencies, industry, and insurance companies.

GEI was retained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the Savannah District of Georgia to evaluate the potential effect of dredging the Savannah Harbor channel on an adjacent riverbank owned by a private corporation.

GEI performed Phase I, II, and III site assessments and investigations at this former industrial site. Areas of environmental concern identified included underground storage tanks (USTs) containing hazardous materials/petroleum products, a drum storage area, and an off-site gas station. Cleanup requirements were developed and cost estimates provided.
