Senior Geotechnical EngineerSteve is a Professional Engineer specializing in geotechnical and geological engineering. He brings over 33 years of design and project management experience in transportation (railroad, roadway, bridge), commercial & public building development, tunnel, dam, levee, and utility infrastructure projects throughout the United States. He has performed and managed geotechnical field investigations in soil and rock using various drilling, sampling, and geophysical methods; developed geotechnical lab testing and engineering analyses programs; prepared geotechnical reports and construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates; and provided construction management services for his clients.
His technical expertise includes embankment and slope stability, erosion protection, rockfall hazard assessment and mitigation, geotechnical instrumentation, geologic hazard emergency response, deep foundations, temporary shoring, and retaining walls.
Steve has an M.S. in Civil (Geotechnical) Engineering from Virginia Tech, and a B.S. in Geological Engineering from Washington State University.
