Gillian Gregory, Ph.D., P.E.

Vice President

Dr. Gillian Gregory is a Senior Project Manager and a registered Professional Engineer with more than 30 years of experience specializing in geotechnical engineering, including dam safety investigations, dam engineering and foundation engineering. She is a FERC-approved Independent Consultant and Facilitator and has led the analysis, design and rehabilitation of numerous dam improvement/safety projects.

Since joining GEI in 1986, she has built a strong reputation as a leader and trailblazer at GEI and within the industry. Dr. Gregory is a Vice President and in 2015 was elected to serve as the first woman chairman of GEI’s Board of Directors. Throughout her tenure at GEI, she’s been a leader in promoting diversity in the workplace and industry and helped GEI form its first Board-sponsored committee focused on diversity and inclusion.

Dr. Gregory earned both a Master of Science degree and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Originally from the United Kingdom, she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering at the UK’s University of Birmingham in 1980.
