The design provided by Hank to modify surface water drainage at a locomotive fueling and servicing area of the Trinity Railway Expressway Equipment Facility was successfully completed this week. The design plans provided and efficient method to re-route the drainage flow into existing wastewater system. During the design phase, Hank was helpful with communication to develop a concept to solve the problem of oily water escaping the service area. As the initial design, he was responsive to DART’s concerns and suggestions to minimize the construction impact on the facility operations. Hank’s plan-set provided to the construction contractor proved to be easily constructible and the project was completed within the allowed short time frame of 2 days to avoid disruption of train service.”
