Jamie Matus, C.P.G.

Jamie Matus is a Geological Engineer and Certified Professional Geologist with 31 years of consulting experience and currently serves as Vice President/Principal and Branch Manager in GEI’ Lansing, Michigan Office.  Jamie has a diverse technical background and specializes in geotechnical engineering for high rise buildings where he has managed projects throughout the Caribbean, The Midwest including Chicago and Detroit, the Middle East including Qatar, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, South Korea and Kazakhstan.  He also specialized in rock slope stability assessments and stabilization, environmental assessments and groundwater water resource assessment and management. Mr. Matus is responsible for managing several key accounts including the US Army Corps of Engineers Detroit and Chicago Districts, where he has completed nearly 200 individual projects over the past 16 years, the Michigan Department of Transportation, the Michigan Department of Environment Quality and Nestle Waters North America.

Jamie received his B.S. degree in Geological Engineering from Michigan Technological University and is a graduate of ASFE’s Fundamentals of Professional Practice
