Experienced Civil Engineer Alex Torres Joins GEI

Civil design leader brings vast water resources experience

PASADENA, California, Sept. 3, 2024 – Alex Torres, P.E., has joined GEI Consultants as a Senior Civil Engineer. Alex has a long history of successfully managing complex multi-million dollar water resources projects. His project management experience includes public works, land development, and transportation.

“Alex brings a wealth of experience in civil design, especially in the areas of grading, stormwater and infrastructure, and pipelines,” says Iqbal Ahmed, Senior Project Manager and Pasadena, California Branch Manager at GEI. “We look forward to Alex helping our design efforts and creating and leading a dedicated group of civil design professionals from our Pasadena branch.”

Alex specializes in efficiently coordinating the full-life cycle of project design and oversight. In addition, he is proficient at leading, mentoring, and training goal-driven, high-performance teams.

“I joined GEI because I saw an opportunity to bring my skills and experience to an industry-leading civil engineering company that excels in water resources across the U.S. and Canada,” says Alex. “I have always been passionate about working on water resources projects, whether it’s designing drainage infrastructure or potable water and sanitary sewer facilities.”

Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University. He is a Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD) and a Qualified Industrial Storm Water Practitioner (QISP).
