Carlin F. Grundemann, P.E.

Senior Project Engineer

Ms. Grundemann is a licensed civil engineer in Michigan and has 17 years of experience in geotechnical design, hydroelectric structures, earth embankments, landfills, power plants, building foundations, pavement, rivers and watersheds for both public and private clients throughout the United States.  She has served as project manager and engineer for multi-year geotechnical engineering contracts with MDTMB/MDNR, MDOT, The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Detroit and Chicago Districts, and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ). She is specifically experienced in managing projects on the Great Lakes with multiple project stakeholders.  She fully understands the project life cycle process of large organizations which is particularly beneficial for multi-agency involvement and planning.  Her technical background includes coastline resilience studies, coastal erosion, wave attenuation, site layout and planning, marina design and development, and risk and surveillance monitoring of levees, embankments, and bluffs with loose or soft soils exhibiting surficial erosion, seepage, sloughing and global failures adjacent to or in-line with major bodies of water. She holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
