Daniela T. H. Abbott, PE, PMP
East Region Operations ManagerDaniela Abbott is the East Region Operations Manager and sits in the Newport, RI, office. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in multiple states and brings brings two decades of experience in the maritime and waterfront industries. She has led technical project teams on a wide range of marine infrastructure projects, from municipal waterfront parks and marine terminals to extensive shipyard expansion and improvement projects.
Daniela joined GEI in 2023 and has been successfully developing and leading large, complex, multi-disciplinary waterfront projects across different regions within GEI. She has also led infrastructure assessments, maintenance and improvement planning, and operational support for marinas, port operators, and shipyards.
Daniela’s holistic project approach allows her to lead teams that emphasize the goals and priorities of clients and provide technically sound and cost-effective solutions to their operational needs.
Daniela holds a Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Webb Institute, and a MSc in Maritime Engineering Sciences from the University of Southampton (UK). She is a native of São Paulo, Brazil and currently resides in Rhode Island with her family.
