Dr. Mehdi Mirzababaei is a Texas-licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and Australian Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) with more than 15 years of academic and industrial experience in geotechnical engineering, blending innovative industrial leadership, practice, and research.

Mehdi has secured more than $500,000 in funded research on reactive clays and sustainable soil solutions, authoring 65+ peer-reviewed publications with an h-index of 30 and more than 3,300 citations. Specializing in soil stabilization and geotechnical design, he has delivered high-impact projects for clients in Australia including Queensland Alumina, Pyrenees Shire Council, and major developers in Australia ensuring compliance with AS, BS, and ASTM standards.

Mehdi’s expertise extends to advanced field and laboratory testing, geotechnical instrumentation, and IoT/AI application development, including the development of pile load testing rigs and real-time bridge monitoring system.
