Sean Male

Vice President, Natural Heritage Practice Lead

Sean is a Senior Ecologist with extensive experience in the assessment of impacts of development on the natural environment. He has designed and implemented baseline studies of natural heritage features, identified potential impacts, developed mitigation measures and monitoring plans, and coordinated environmental permits and approvals for a variety of projects in the land development, linear infrastructure, and energy sectors. He has managed environmental requirements for projects from development planning, including permits/approvals, through to the construction and post-construction phases.

Sean also brings extensive experience with species at risk legislation. He has designed field programs to confirm presence/absence of species at risk, obtained permits, approvals, and registrations from relevant authorities, and identified measures to avoid impacts and provide overall benefit to target species.

As a project manager, he delivers projects through a highly collaborative approach, working closely with clients, partners, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve clear, timely, and aligned project objectives.
