Environmental consultant Susan Bator joins GEI
June 11, 2026Bator brings a passion for helping clients understand PFAS risks.
FRANKLIN, Massachusetts, June 11, 2026 – Susan “Sue” Bator has joined GEI Consultants as Environmental Practice Leader. Sue is a Licensed Site Professional (LSP) with more than 28 years of experience in environmental consulting with a background in chemical engineering and hydrogeology and specialized expertise in PFAS forensics.
“Sue’s technical and regulatory expertise align with our project and client types in Boston and nationally throughout GEI,” says Joseph Roman, LSP, Vice President and Boston Branch Manager – Environmental, at GEI. “Her contaminated site investigation and remediation experience will prove invaluable to our clients and their projects.”
Sue focuses on environmental assessment and remediation, bringing a strong knowledge of PFAS, its fate and transport in the environment, and PFAS forensics. She has worked for several clients including developers, industries, municipalities, and government agencies. In addition, Sue has worked on assessment and remediation projects throughout Massachusetts within the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) regulations and other regulatory frameworks across the United States.
“I was impressed with GEI because the organization has such a deep bench of talented people and provides employees with the tools and resources needed to do great work,” says Sue. “I’m excited to help maintain and grow GEI’s existing client relationships and be part of a larger group of PFAS practitioners so I can continue to learn and grow as we help our clients understand their PFAS risks.”
Sue holds a Master of Science in Hydrogeology and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, both from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She is a member of the Licensed Site Professionals Association (LSPA) and the President Elect of the LSPA Board of Directors.
