Emmett McFarlane

Emmett McFarlane is an AI Engineer in GEI’s Markham, Ontario, office with seven years of experience building applied AI, machine learning, and data systems for enterprise organizations and high-growth tech companies. He has expertise in large language models, document intelligence, retrieval systems, agentic AI, computer vision, and production-grade AI systems that solve practical business problems.

Prior to joining GEI, Emmett founded a document parsing platform that helped Fortune 500 companies automate complex document workflows. He has experience delivering AI solutions from proof-of-concept through production, focused on reliability, governance, and measurable business impact.

Emmett holds an M.Sc. in Physics and Astronomy from McMaster University, where his research focused on deep learning methods for simulating astrophysical gases.

At GEI, he helps translate emerging AI technologies into practical solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen organizational capabilities, and create value for clients.
