Kyle Bretl

Senior Ecologist and Project Manager

Kyle Bretl is a Senior Ecologist and Project Manager with over 17 years of ecological consulting experience across Wisconsin and the Midwest. His expertise includes wetland and waterway assessments, regulatory permitting, rare species surveys, habitat restoration planning and implementation, and post-construction ecological monitoring.

Kyle is an Assured Wetland Delineator through the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and has completed more than 100 assured delineations since 2016, streamlining review timelines and reducing review fees for clients.

Known for his collaborative approach, Kyle builds strong relationships with regulatory agencies to keep projects on schedule and ensure compliance. His experience spans transportation, energy, and industrial development projects in sensitive environments. He has successfully managed over 100 projects totaling more than $2 million in fees since 2018, including permitting leadership for major restoration and infrastructure projects such as the Lower Green Bay & Fox River, Sheboygan River, and Lower Menominee River Areas of Concern.

Kyle is passionate about advancing ecological restoration and sustainable development across the Midwest, helping clients achieve project goals while protecting natural resources.
