Aquatic Ecologist / Project ManagerAlejandro (AJ) Reyes is an Aquatic Ecologist and Certified Lake Manager (NALMS) in GEI’s Huntington Station office. Alejandro specializes in limnology, aquatic ecology, fisheries and invasive species monitoring, management and stakeholder coordination. As a Certified Lake Manager, Alejandro has lead dozens of lake management projects from the beginning assessment phase through implementation of recommendations and post effectiveness monitoring. Specific interests include interactions between water quality and aquatic invasive species, long term lake management planning and facilitating stakeholder lead initiatives for lake preservation and restoration. Alejandro has worked on many different lake and reservoir ecosystems across the country, including in Alaska, Nevada, Yellowstone National Park, North Carolina and most Northeastern/New England states. Alejandro holds a B.S. in Ecology from SUNY Plattsburgh and a M.S. in Lake Management at SUNY Oneonta.
