Senior Project ManagerMs. Christie J. Battenhouse, P.G., is a Sr. Project Manager in GEI’s Atlanta office. She has more than 25 years of experience in environmental consulting and remediation, primarily focused on former manufactured gas plant (MGP) sites. However, Ms. Battenhouse has also worked on investigations and remediation of chlorinated solvents, underground storage tanks, and leaking underground storage sites, bulk storage facilities, and geotechnical investigations. Ms. Battenhouse specializes in client management program/project management, soil and groundwater investigations, site characterization, and remedial activities in accordance with regulations and environmental programs in various states throughout the country. For over 23 years, Ms. Battenhouse served as the program/project manager for groundwater, soil, and sediment remediation projects associated with thirteen MGP sites in Georgia and Florida, as well as others in Alabama, Tennessee, New York, and Illinois. She is experienced in managing clients, field work, contractors, and teams of investigators and remedial design staff for large projects with multiple sites. Design and implementation range from small to large scale technologies that including excavation with and without shoring systems, slurry-trench excavation, enhanced bioremediation, in-situ chemical oxidation, and in-situ solidification.
