Fernando Flores

Program Manager

Fernando Flores brings more than fifteen years of diverse experience in project and construction management with an emphasis on project controls.  Fernando is well known in the construction industry for managing high profile projects.  Prior to joining GEI, he worked for large and nationally known construction companies and managed and oversaw several large projects across the western United States involving new reservoir spillways, existing dam rehabilitations, wastewater treatment plants and segmental bridges.  An example of this work includes his recent role as Project Controls Manager for the construction of the new Folsom Lake Spillway, located in Folsom, CA.

Fernando is highly experienced with managing project teams to create, update, and monitor schedules, financial reports, contracts, and document control systems.  He has extensive knowledge integrating financial systems with project controls, Primavera P6 scheduling, preparation of automated financial reports, creating tracking tools, preparing construction cost estimates, and providing constructability reviews.

He has built an extensive network of relationships with federal, state, and municipal agencies and has a track record for resolving outstanding contract disputes.

Fernando earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California State University, Sacramento.
