Ilene Story

Ilene Story is part of the California Program Management Practice in the West and is supporting GEI project managers with their projects, including preparing contracts and subcontracts, contract documents/specifications review, and general project coordination. She has decades of experience helping deliver capital improvement projects to the San Diego region.

Ilene recently retired from the San Diego County Water Authority (SDCWA) but previously worked for the Cities of Poway and Del Mar providing administrative and office management services. While at SDCWA, she developed policies, procedures, and practices to deliver design and construction contracts efficiently and effectively for more than $2 billion in capital projects.

She also finalized, advertised, and reviewed requests for proposals for planning, design, and construction management contracts as well as prepared final public work contracts for bidding and reviewed bid results.
