Matthew Glunt, P.E.

Matt Glunt is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer based out of the Glastonbury, CT office.  Mr. Glunt leads the Connecticut geotechnical services practice within GEI, working in close coordination with other geotechnical groups both regionally and nationally. His experience in geotechnical design and construction covers a wide range of sectors including transportation (both design/build), higher education (vertical construction), dams and levees, commercial development, heavy industrial and the nuclear power industry. His particular areas of specialty include seismic evaluation and design (including site-specific response), large-scale project management, deep foundation systems, innovative methods for subsurface investigation, geotechnical instrumentation and support of excavations. Mr. Glunt brings a unique perspective to the projects he’s involved with, having worked in several regions of the country, across many different design and construction sectors.

Mr. Glunt has a M.S. in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University.
