Mitchell Walton, P.E.
Staff Professional - CivilMitchell is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer serving as a Project Engineer in GEI’s Lansing, Michigan, office. Mitch specializes in stormwater management, flood mitigation, and utility infrastructure, supporting projects through all phases from planning and permitting to design and construction. Mitch has contributed to numerous projects throughout Michigan, working extensively with county drain commissioners as well as the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), and Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
His technical experience includes GPS surveying and field investigations, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, open channel and storm sewer design, permitting support, preparation of construction plans and specifications, bidding assistance, construction oversight, construction engineering, and construction administration.
His project experience primarily includes large scale flood control and mitigation, legal lake level establishment, county drain improvements and maintenance, and wetland and stream restoration and enhancement. Mitch applies this experience to support civil and water resources projects through the full lifecycle of project delivery.
Mitch received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University.
