Nicole Brennan, P.G.
Project Manager/GeologistNicole is a licensed Professional Geologist with more than seven years of experience in environmental, coastal, and engineering geology. She specializes in flood risk management, including the feasibility, design, and construction of riverine and coastal levee systems. Nicole has completed advanced training in dam and levee safety risk analysis through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ (USACE) Risk Management Center and has been a Geology team member on USACE risk assessments for high-hazard dams and levee systems regionally and nationally. She applies risk-informed decision-making to the planning, design, and implementation of flood risk management projects.
Nicole has also been involved in complex environmental remediation projects throughout the northeast. Her background in environmental due diligence and remediation supports flood risk management planning studies by helping clients identify and mitigate potential contamination risks that could impact project safety and feasibility.
In addition to her consulting work, Nicole has contributed to academic research in tsunami sedimentology and marine water quality in international settings. She holds a B.S. in Geology and Geological Oceanography and a master’s degree in Oceanography from the University of Rhode Island.
