Meet Gei's

Patrick Hastings Jr., P.G.

Vice President, Senior Consultant

Patrick is a licensed Professional Geologist with more than 20 years of experience in vibration control, geophysics, and construction management. He is licensed in six states and has provided technical leadership on major infrastructure, marine, transportation, demolition, and urban development projects across the United States.

Patrick holds a Master of Science in Geophysics from the University of Minnesota, where he developed expertise in experimental and analytical methods for understanding the dynamic behavior of earth materials. His geophysics background provides a solid foundation in subsurface characterization of soil and rock, which he applies through the review of geotechnical investigations and integration of subsurface data into vibration modeling and risk mitigation strategies.

Patrick specializes in geotechnical and structural vibration monitoring, pre- and post-construction condition surveys, and regulatory compliance support. His technical expertise includes vibration analysis, structure condition assessment, blast vibration consulting, seismograph network design, dynamic response evaluation, and preparation of data-driven reports for regulatory and stakeholder review. Patrick applies advanced knowledge of wave propagation and the prediction of vibration amplitudes and frequencies to model structural response, interpret geotechnical data, and design monitoring programs that protect infrastructure and reduce risk in complex construction environments.
