Senior ConsultantRyan is a Senior Consultant with GEI Canada, based in Victoria, British Columbia. He brings multidisciplinary experience in climate change, asset management, emergency preparedness, and master planning, with an outcome-focused approach to service delivery across the lifecycle of infrastructure projects. Ryan supports municipal and utility clients with practical, risk-informed solutions that align strategic objectives with operational implementation and long-term asset stewardship.
Ryan has held senior leadership roles in municipal and provincial government, leading policy and programs delivering capital projects, funding programs, and legislative initiatives related to climate change, emergency management, and Indigenous reconciliation within British Columbia’s unique legislative context. Ryan is known for building collaborative partnerships, incorporating technical, environmental, social, and Indigenous considerations into complex initiatives, and translating strategy into real-world outcomes.
A Professional Engineer and Professional Agrologist, Ryan brings a strong understanding of both built and natural environments, and the corresponding governance and risk frameworks. Ryan is an active community volunteer and board member, supporting the Victoria Hospitals Foundation, Vancity Credit Union Advisory Committee, and serving in multiple roles with Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
