Savanna Marino

Savanna Marino, G.I.T. is a staff professional in GEI’s New York City office with over 5 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry throughout New York City and New Jersey. Her background includes beneficial reuse, site assessment, remediation and brownfield redevelopment, GIS mapping, remedial systems operation and monitoring, stormwater and solid waste management, permitting and regulatory compliance, and construction oversight for a variety of projects, including former Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) sites and active airports. Savanna supports various New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) and Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP) projects, with significant familiarity with New York State and New York City environmental rules and regulations.

Savanna holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Temple University and a Master of Science in Environmental Geoscience from Queens College, in addition to being a Geologist-In-Training in New York. She has given multiple presentations on sustainability and beneficial reuse throughout the US and Canada, focusing on New York City’s innovative soil reuse program, which has been recognized by the American Council of Engineers for engineering and environmental excellence.
