Shaun B. Gannon
Senior Water Resources EngineerShaun is a senior water resource engineer and technical manager with decades of experience in computational modeling related to flood risk and resiliency, FEMA Flood Insurance Studies, interior flood control, dam safety, urban and industrial stormwater management, and floodplain and stream restoration.
Shaun’s expertise is concentrated on flood risk and resiliency. He has significant experience and understanding of 1D and 2D hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, computational fluid dynamics, shoreline protection, and flood risk and resiliency modeling, and has recently been focused on community flood risk reduction using nature-based solutions.
Shaun holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Norwich University in Northfield, VT. He currently serves as the Chair of the NYS Floodplain and Stormwater Managers Association and is an adjunct professor of civil engineering at SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
