Principal Biologist

Summer Pardo has over 20 years of experience as a professional biologist, and over a decade as a staff manager. She has conducted numerous aquatic resources delineations and special-status species assessments/surveys across California and Florida, as well as in Oklahoma, Kansas, Pennsylvania, Colorado, and Georgia. She is considered a regulatory subject matter expert with extensive experience obtaining Clean Water Act Section 404 and 401 permits, completing Endangered Species Act Section 7 and Section 10 consultations, and obtaining state resource agency permits/authorizations across the U.S. Ms. Pardo has managed and supported a variety of local, state, federal, and private projects nationally; and has assisted numerous clients in communicating with regulatory agency staff, and drafting correspondence to facilitate permit obtainment on schedule and within budget. Ms. Pardo has well developed relationships with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Regional Water Quality Control Board (Water Board), California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), and National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) in various offices across California, which helps to facilitate receipt of timely approvals.

Ms. Pardo combines extensive technical, analytical, and interpretive skills, with practical field experience to achieve project goals and objectives. She possesses strong interpersonal skills and experience working with multidisciplinary professionals to develop client engagement strategies and proposal packages; and obtain various environmental approvals. Her broad geographic project experience, and wide technical experience allows her to provide efficient support for both small and large, complex projects.
