Senior Vice President, Water ResourcesTroy Naperala is a Senior Vice President in GEI’s Traverse City, MI office with more than 25 years of experience leading and managing complex civil and environmental engineering programs. His work spans multidisciplinary water resources and infrastructure efforts from planning through construction.
Troy has led and contributed to projects focusing on large scale municipal infrastructure. His work is broad and diverse and includes the built infrastructure such as collection and distribution systems; water treatment works; dams and navigation infrastructure. In addition, he has completed numerous studies focus on the natural environment which have included rivers and other surface water systems, including water quantity and quality, hydrology and hydraulics, sediment transport, contaminated sediments, and ecological restoration. His experience includes flood control studies, dam assessments, total maximum daily loads (TMDLs), National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits, watershed assessments, stormwater management studies, and regional planning efforts.
He has delivered these services for municipalities, state and federal agencies, industries, and regional planning organizations in urban, rural, and agricultural settings. Troy is known for bringing together multidisciplinary teams, aligning stakeholders, and guiding projects through complex regulatory and technical environments.
