150 North Riverside Project Wins ENR Midwest Project of the Year Award

 

GEI Consultants, Inc., one of the nation’s leading geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and ecological science and engineering firms, announced today that a project recently completed by the firm was awarded the Engineering News Record Midwest Project of the Year.

The 150 N. Riverside project located in Chicago consisted of transforming an empty lot, deemed unbuildable by various builders and developers, to a new 1.2 million square foot, $270-million, 54-story tower. The new building includes office, retail, and dining spaces.

The project faced various challenges including, location and foundation lot size. The entire team worked together to adapt to these challenges and design an award-winning project.
