GEI’s Susan Boyle selected as “Growing Great Women in the Garden State” Award Recipient

July 12, 2019

Sue Boyle was selected as this year’s winner of the New Jersey Society of Women Environmental Professionals (NJ SWEP) “Growing Great Women in the Garden State” Award. Each year, this award is given to a woman in the environmental industry for commitment to environmental protection, conservation, and research; their contributions to communicating and sharing knowledge; their dedication to mentoring the next generation of environmental leaders; and their innovative approaches to science and/or policy. Sue has influenced and encouraged so many people both professionally and personally in the industry. She is known for her ongoing dedication to mentoring the next generation of leaders and growing the role of women in the environmental profession.

Sue was presented the award at the annual NJ SWEP Gala held on June 13, 2019 surrounded by family, friends, mentees, and peers. The gala was planned by GEI’s Jessica Rosenberg and Michelle Clifford Martin, co-chairs of the NJ SWEP Gala Committee. GEI staff from four offices attended to support Sue, celebrate her achievements, and acknowledge her ongoing environmental leadership and the important role it has played at GEI and across New Jersey.
