Dan DeVaun named GEI’s Central Regional Growth Leader

TRAVERSE CITY, Michigan, April 15, 2026 – Dan DeVaun, PE has been named Central Regional Growth Leader at GEI Consultants. In this role, Dan will lead GEI’s regional growth efforts—driving bookings, strengthening pipeline development, and partnering with staff in the region to drive key growth programs.

“Dan brings a clear commitment to advancing GEI’s growth priorities in the Central Region,” says Ben Sawa, Chief Development Officer at GEI. “He has consistently demonstrated the ability to build client relationships and align teams around opportunities.”

Dan joined GEI’s Traverse City, Michigan, team in 2022 as a Senior Project Manager. Over the past few years, Dan has helped grow GEI’s Water Resources practice in the Midwest, bringing in new clients, facilitating collaboration amongst offices and practices, and has since been named a Vice President.

Dan has more than 20 years of experience working with clients to solve water resource challenges in an ever-changing environment. His experience includes supporting the development of policy and law and implementing regulation, as well as designing and managing dam rehabilitation, dam removal, river restoration, watershed analysis and planning, and stormwater management projects throughout Michigan.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
