Agrologist and Contaminated Sites Approved Professional (CSAP) Daniel D’Angelo joins GEI

July 13, 2026

D’Angelo’s experience includes remediation and regulatory review.

ABBOTSFORD, British Columbia, July 13, 2026 Daniel D’Angelo has joined GEI Consultants as Senior Environmental Professional. Dan is a Professional Agrologist and Contaminated Sites Approved Professional (CSAP) with 18 years of experience conducting contaminated sites investigation and remediation projects across Canada.

“I’m excited to welcome Dan to GEI. With his CSAP designation, we can now deliver in-house regulatory approvals and support clients through site closure, services previously outsourced,” says Gina Spencer, Vice President and Branch Manager at GEI. “Dan also brings strong leadership and a passion for mentoring staff, which will help grow our team and strengthen our internal capabilities.”

Dan started his career in Ontario working primarily on downstream oil and gas projects and electrical distribution and transmission sites. Since relocating to British Columbia in 2015, his experience has expanded to include due diligence work, construction and development projects, linear infrastructure support, and regulatory and expert advice.

Dan has directed more than 20 projects that have obtained Certification Documents (Certificates of Compliance, Determinations, etc.) from British Columbia’s Ministry of Environment and Parks (ENV). Since 2023, Dan has also expanded his practice into Detailed Risk Assessments, working with risk-CSAPs to expand his knowledge and capabilities in this growing area of remediation.

“I was impressed with GEI’s seller-doer model and employee ownership structure,” says Dan. “I am excited for this opportunity to help expand our services and grow the environmental team in British Columbia.”

After returning to complete university later in his career, Dan obtained a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science in 2022 from Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC. Since obtaining the CSAP designation in 2024, he has acted as the submitting Approved Professional making recommendations for three Certification Documents later issued by ENV.
