Water Resources Engineer Dr. Gautham Das joins GEI

Das brings expertise in PFAS remediation, stormwater management, and climate resistance

WAKEFIELD, Massachusetts, June 18, 2026 – Gautham Das, Ph.D. has joined GEI Consultants as Senior Environmental Engineer. Dr. Das has experience in environmental engineering, water resources, stormwater management, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, PFAS remediation, and sustainable infrastructure planning.

“Gautham brings a diverse technical expertise to GEI and immediately strengthens and expands our ability to provide PFAS remediation services to our clients,” says Joseph Roman, LSP, Boston Environmental Division Manager at GEI. “Gautham has a strong reputation for technical excellence and being a trusted client advisor, and we are very excited to have him join our team.”

Gautham’s professional background spans consulting, academia, and applied research, with expertise in flood mitigation, watershed management, climate resilience, and environmental remediation. Prior to joining GEI, Dr. Das served in academic leadership roles at the Wentworth Institute of Technology, including Engineering Program Director and Civil Engineering Program Chair.

Dr. Das is actively involved in professional organizations including ASCE, BSCES, and EWRI and currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Boston Society of Civil Engineers Practice Journal.
