GEI Announces Expansion in Central Region with New and Relocated Offices

DENVER, Co.—August 12, 2014— GEI Consultants, Inc., one of the nation’s leading geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and ecological science and engineering firms, announced today that the company has expanded its staff and services in its Central Region, moving to new offices in Marquette, Michigan and Madison, Wisconsin, and opened a new office location in Fort Collins, Colorado. The Marquette office led by Branch Manager Michael Carpenter, P.E. provides a variety of civil engineering services including geotechnical evaluations; site and stormwater designs; structural evaluation and designs; and construction oversight and materials testing services for municipalities, utilities, industry, and commercial developers throughout the Mid-west and nationally.

The Madison office led by Branch Manager Rick Anderson, P.E. provides planning, geotechnical evaluations, permitting, inspections, design, and construction oversight for dams, levees, hydropower facilities, solid waste landfills, and other civil infrastructure projects.

GEI’s first Fort Collins office adds expertise in water resources; dam engineering, inspection, and construction; gravel pit mining design and construction; ecology and bio-monitoring; and environmental remediation investigation, design, construction, and permitting. The office is led by GEI Rocky Mountain Business Leader Mark Scott P.E., who brings more than 32 years of experience in water/wet infrastructure, environmental permitting and remediation, construction services, information management, public outreach, management consulting, and general engineering industries throughout the Rocky Mountain Region, United States and overseas. Joining him in the Fort Collins office are Jeremy Deuto P.G., EIT, a geotechnical engineer with 14 years of experience on a variety of geotechnical, water resource, geologic, and environmental investigations.,  Lesli Alexander, an environmental scientist with over 29 years in the hazardous waste remediation industry, Ben Taylor, a geological engineer, and Ashley Ficke, a fisheries ecologist with several years of experience in the field and an understanding of basic hydrology and hydraulic principles.
