GEI Announces New Milwaukee Office

August 13, 2018 – GEI Consultants, Inc., one of the nation’s leading geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and ecological science and engineering firms, announced today that the firm has opened a new office in Milwaukee, WI to expand its services throughout the Midwest. The firm can be reached at 10501 West Research Drive – G100, Milwaukee, WI 53226.

GEI’s presence in Milwaukee is currently being established with:

The following key employees will be responsible for shaping the development of the Milwaukee office:

Our team will be supporting our efforts to grow our core engineering and environmental practices for public and private sector clients in southern Wisconsin and across the Midwest.  They will be an integral part of GEI’s effort to expand market presence through the newly opened GEI office in Milwaukee.

Jaren Hiller is a water resources engineer with over 20 years of experience. He is a project manager and designer with experience in comprehensive water resources projects involving storm water management (urban flood / drainage and non-point source pollution analysis), in addition to riverine and flood plain management. His experience also includes traditional civil work such as site and infrastructure design. Projects he has worked on include riverine flood analysis, streambank erosion assessment and stabilization design, riparian habitat restoration, dam removal, community-wide urban hydrologic/hydraulic (H/H) drainage analysis, community-wide storm water quality analysis, and quantity and quality best management practice (BMP) planning and design, including both grey and green infrastructure.

Paul D. Drew, P.E., CFM is a project engineer with over 10 years of water resource engineering and project management experience. His technical expertise has focused on hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, water resource design and regulatory permitting. Paul’s experience includes spillway design, dam failure analyses, and inundation mapping for FERC licensed hydroelectric projects and state regulated dams in over 10 states. His experience also includes civil engineering design, dam inspections, preparation of emergency action plans, and construction monitoring.

Steve Nicoson, P.E., currently in the Vernon Hills, IL office, will be transferring to the Milwaukee office. He has over 25 years of experience in geotechnical and geo-structural design and construction of building foundations, superstructures, underpinning, temporary and permanent excavation support systems, construction contract documents, construction observation, and inspection and condition assessment of existing structures.

Jordan R. Junion is a geologist with seven years of environmental consulting experience. He has a diverse background with emphasis on remedial investigation, brownfield redevelopment, construction oversight, environmental monitoring, environmental due diligence, waste disposal, and environmental sample collection. Jordan’s experience includes direct oversight of contractors during various phases of investigation and remediation, construction monitoring, health and safety officer, data analysis, and guiding clients through the regulatory process.
