GEI Consultants Adds Senior Consultant Joseph de Larios

Oakland, CA. – September 6, 2017 – GEI Consultants, Inc., one of the nation’s leading geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and ecological science and engineering firms, announced today that Joseph de Larios, P. E., G. E. has joined GEI as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer out of the firm’s Oakland, CA office.

Joe has more than 25 years of experience in providing civil and geotechnical engineering consulting services for a variety of projects, including embankment dam design and construction, pipeline construction, deep foundations for high-performance buildings, forensic studies of the geotechnical aspects of distress in structures and utilities, and ground improvement programs. As a civil and geotechnical engineer in California, Joe has acted as project lead for geotechnical investigations and water storage projects, testing services, design developments, and construction support and observation.

Joe has a M. S. in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a B. S. in Civil engineering from Santa Clara University.
