GEI Consultants Announces the Hiring of Senior Staff Nabil Ghalayini & Ward van Proosdij

Boston, Mass. – June 8, 2017 – GEI Consultants, Inc., one of the nation’s leading geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and ecological science and engineering firms, announced today the hiring of senior staff Nabil Ghalayini and Ward van Proosdij.

Nabil Ghalayini, P.E., PMP, D.WRE, CFM, Senior Project Manager in GEI’s Washington, D.C. office. Nabil has more than 25 years of experience in flood hazard analysis and mapping, hydrologic and hydraulic numerical modeling, watershed and environmental planning, drainage studies, stormwater management and GIS. He’s a certified project management professional and floodplain manager.

Ward van Proosdij, M.SC., ING., Senior Water Resources Engineer in GEI’s Bakersfield,  California. Ward has 20+ years of hydrogeologic and watershed engineering experience, specializing in (ground)water resource engineering, regional water supply and quality studies, groundwater/surface water interaction modeling, geotechnical dewatering and slope stability studies in mining and hydro dam projects, and contaminated sites assessment and groundwater remediation modeling. He has performed project management and senior hydrogeological review of several federal environmental assessments requiring both in depth regulatory knowledge and technical expertise.
