GEI Consultants Announces the Hiring of Six Senior Staff

Boston, Mass. – December 1, 2016 – GEI Consultants, Inc., one of the nation’s leading geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and ecological science and engineering firms, announced today the hiring of six senior staff.

Joseph Peter Gaby, S.E., P.E., P.Eng, LEED GA, Senior Structural Engineer in GEI’s Portland, Oregon office. Peter has 30 years of experience in structural design, seismic analysis, QA/QC of structural projects, and construction support. He has been responsible for the design of steel, concrete, and masonry water and wastewater treatment plant buildings, dam powerhouses, pump stations, and various hydraulic structures. His structural design experience also includes fish passage structures, concrete tanks and reservoirs, penstocks, fish hatcheries, tunnels, highway and railroad bridges, and stability analyses of concrete dams and spillways.

Robert Fill, CCM, Senior Consultant in GEI’s Sacramento, California office. Robert has 38 years of experience managing and supervising public works and private construction projects, such as hydroelectric power plants, pumping plants, pipelines, reservoirs, dams, tunnels, aqueducts, levees, control structures, highways, roadways, and buildings. He has also provided expert support to help resolve current and outstanding potential and formal public works construction claims. He has completed Dispute Resolution Board training through the DRBF and Dispute Resolution Team training through the California and Nevada Departments of Transportation.

Frances Schultz, LSRP, Senior Consultant in GEI’s Bloomfield, New Jersey office. Frances has more than 25 years of experience managing projects and project teams and developing client relationships. She has executed environmental and brownfield development/construction projects in the New York Metropolitan area and throughout the Northeast including combined environmental and geotechnical projects, management of state and federal superfund projects and close coordination with public agencies.

Hank Julian, P.E., P.G., Senior Engineer, Knoxville, Tennessee. Hank is a registered professional engineer and geologist with over 30 years of experience in applied research, governmental projects, and private consulting.  He specializes in groundwater modeling, site and aquifer characterization, hydrogeologic investigations, karst hydrogeology, and subsurface remediation.

Chris Finley, LSRP, Senior Consultant in GEI’s Bloomfield, New Jersey office. Chris has strong leadership experience and was previously responsible for a 100-person environmental consulting, engineering, and construction office. As an environmental engineer he has prepared and implemented regulatory compliance programs in accordance with ISRA, BUST, NJPDEPS, MOA’a and RCRA. Chris has diverse site experience ranging from small manufacturing and service stations to terminals, pipelines and MGP sites.

David Watson, P.E., Senior Project Manager in GEI’s Glendale, California office. David has more than 26 years of experience in engineering design, project management, resident engineering, and construction inspection for public works capital improvement projects. His focus has been water resource projects, specifically pipelines, sewers, pump stations, steel and concrete reservoirs, and wastewater treatment facilities where his extensive experience and expertise with design are supported by his construction management capability. David has also built project teams, prepared contract bid documents (PSE), and managed design engineers, AutoCAD staff and subconsultant’s staff. David brings a high-level of skills to GEI in performing engineering review and design risk and claims reduction reviews, constructability, and bid-ability reviews.
