GEI Consultants Hires Senior Consultant Robert Gerber

Boston, Mass. – May 10, 2017– GEI Consultants, Inc., one of the nation’s leading geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and ecological science and engineering firms, announced today that Robert Gerber, P.E., C.G. has joined GEI as a Senior Consultant out of the firm’s Portland, ME office.

Bob has more than 46 years of experience solving complex geotechnical problems, providing assessment and mitigation services at contaminated sites, and evaluations of dam safety, modeling riverine hydrology, and water resources. He also specializes in groundwater modeling, FEMA flood map appeals, and sea level rise mitigation strategies. As an engineering and geological consultant in Maine, Bob has performed thousands of studies, and recently developed groundwater simulation models for nuclear power plants across the U.S., in addition to challenging FEMA coastal flood maps.

Bob has a M.S. in Civil Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he studied under GEI founding partner Ron Hirshfeld.
